I carry this knife as my edc knife because of legality issues with my fixed blades, i usually don't care all that much for folders, but this knife is truly, truly, fantastic.

For the price point, this is a spectacular deal on a Spyderco. I've owned other higher-end Spyderco knives that cost over $130 and to be honest, you definitely can tell the difference between them and the Tenacious...but at $28 for a Tenacious, I got way more than I expected. It's a great every day carry (EDC) knife. It's lightweight but still has a decent heft to it, G-10 has a nice tackiness to it that allows a sure grip, reliable liner lock, and a pocket clip that allows for point up/down carry.
This knife was such a great deal, I actually bought both the Tenacious plain edge and the serrated blade. IMHO, I'd stick with the plain edge unless you really need a serrated blade for a particular purpose. Not sure if there's a manufacturing flaw in the liner lock of the serrated blade Tenacious, but the liner lock on the serrated blade doesn't seem to snap into place as securely as the liner lock on the plain edge Tenacious.
Anyways, for the price point, this is an outstanding EDC knife with some great features. Is it your typical Spyderco quality? Not really, but what the hell do you expect for $28?

At just over $30 this is a fantastic little knife. The G-10 handle feels great. The lockup is superb, with no play up and down or left and right. Deployment speed is very fast and the blade comes razor sharp out of the box. The ability to move the pocket clip tip up/tip down on both sides is another nice feature of this blade. Also, functional jimping on the thumb ramp allows you to get a strong grip on the handle. While this knife is made in China, that doesn't mean it is lower quality. The overall quality of the Spyderco Tenacious is outstanding.

I just got this knife in from [...] and let me tell you, I love it! I have had a lot of different knifes in my possession over many years of Boy Scouts, Venturing, and family adventures. This is by far the best built folder I've owned so far! It's thin so you don't notice it when you're riding a motorcycle, shimmying up a tree, or trekking a trail, the blade steel is good enough for what I need to do, and the price-point is fantastic!
If you love knifes, buy this one!

Being an Eagle Scout I have been used a good number of knives. Like any other product you usually have to fork over alot of money for a quality knife. But Spyderco some how finds a way to produce an inexpensive, sturdy, well engineered folding blade. They also have quality knives in every price range you can imagine. This is by far the best knife I have every used for such a great price. Best [...] bucks ive ever spent.
