Bright light, but batteries fall out in your pocket March 15, 2010 Mark Twain (Peoria, IL) This light was very bright and the perfect size for what I was looking for, a small key chain flashlight. I am a real estate agent and I often visit houses with no electricity and this light was perfect for going in dark basements. However, you must twist the top portion to turn the light on, and twist it more to remove the top piece to access the battery area. Often times, I found the 3 small batteries falling out in my pocket because the top was twisting off inadvertently. This happened so often that I eventually lost the top piece altogether. Just beware that you check your pockets thoroughly every time you take the keys out of your pocket and make sure this little light is still in tact or you'll end up wasting your money and losing the top of the flashlight.
Do not buy this light March 4, 2010 J. Valentine (Louisville, KY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I hate this light. Yes, it is bright, but it needs to be redesigned. It needs an on/off switch. To make it come on, you twist it, like a mag-light. I put it on my keychain and you have to turn it so it doesn't come on when it's in your pocket or purse, which means you have to twist it way loose. Therefore, now it is loose and this is the battery compartment. There is a fine line between accidentally coming on all the time and running the 4, yes 4 watch batteries down, or taking a chance on it being so loose that it falls apart... which it does often. This morning, I was putting my keys in my coat pocket and it fell apart. All 4 batteries went rolling around the parking garage and I spent 15 minutes trying to find them. By the way, even though it says the bulb last for thousands of hours, the batteries don't.... to replace 4 watch-size batteries cost more than double the price of the light to begin with, so when the batteries go dead, throw the thing away. What a poor design. If you buy this light you will be disappointed!
Great little light. And a tip to keep the head snug. February 27, 2010 J.B. White (Austin, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The nano is a very bright light for it's very small size. It will fit nicely on a man's key chain and it will not be conspicuous in the front pockets of his dress slacks.
From the factory, the head will screw on and off a little too easily. Per one reviewer's complaint, I can see how it could easily unscrew and come apart unexpectedly. My tip to fix this problem; wrap a little plumber's teflon tape around the threads. The head will still turn smoothly, but it will be sung enough to prevent it from accidentally coming apart in a pocket or purse. I plan on buying these little guys by the dozen for Christmas presents this year.
Fell apart in the Parking Lot on Day Three February 25, 2010 Steve Hollasch (Redmond, WA USA) As others have noted, you have to keep the flashlight halfway unscrewed all the time. Too tight, and it'll turn on in your pocket and leave you without a light due to dead batteries. Too loose, and it'll fall apart and leave you without a light due to missing batteries (it took me five minutes to locate the four tiny button cells when it flew apart in the parking lot).
Great illumination, great size, very poor "switch" design.
Bright Tiny Light February 23, 2010 Scott Giordano This thing is Bright. The perfect size for your key chain. Buy a few everyone asks where to get one.
