Product Description The new Travelite V series binoculars incorporate several new features designed to make them more user friendly while enhancing optical performance.Nikon Travelite V binoculars utilize precision ground, multicoated optics, and high index BaK4 prisms for true color rendition, maximum sharpness and enhanced light transmission. The new binoculars use aspherical eyepiece lenses which provide a very flat viewing field and offer markedly improved edge-to-edge sharpness over many conventional lenses. The new Travelite V features large, conveniently located central focus knobs and clicking diopters. Each model in the series features 25mm objective lenses for maximum light gathering.A new, ergonomically contoured, carbon-fiber body makes the Travelite V easy to use for long viewing sessions without physical fatigue. The lightweight body incases a rugged all-metal chassis and is covered with a durable black rubber armor that provides added shock resistance and a positive grip in slippery conditions.

Very Nice! March 19, 2010 K. Dunbar (Panhandle, Florida) Just what we were looking for. Light, small, great quality, and easy to pack. Great price, too. Will use mostly for travel. Used them for whale watching in Hawaii.
Great compact Binocs March 15, 2010 anonymous (Los Angeles) These work very well. Easy to adjust and good viewing area. Bright enough. I took them to a basketball game. I've had other small binaculars before but these are the best I've tried.
Great binoculars, very easy to use. February 4, 2010 Joshua J. Roberts (Denver) Much better clarity & focus than older pair. Will get a lot of use from these in the future.

Quite lightweight and excellent for distances used in spotting during African safari, for example...a couple of hundred years. Did well with birds but at that size need to be considerably closer..50-100 yerds. Focus was good for my eyes, nearsighted but different focal length in each eye...
easy to focus December 10, 2009 E. Davidson (Tennessee) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
